A Face only a Mother Could Love

Let's go easy on a Saturday morning and make a card that is almost one layer.  Using Santa & Co. Designer Series Paper as the main theme of the party, this card goes together quickly. Just add an embossed message and a few twinkly stars and you're done!

Now just take a look at this face - look like anyone in your family? Hah! I love this darling snowman! I'd have him in my front yard in a flat second.  Even sitting on my sofa if he wouldn't melt! Truly a face that only a Mom could love.

And another family of snowmen bringing love from our home to yours. Can't get sweeter or easier than this.

The hearts are punched out using the Owl Punch - how many ways can a person use that punch? It's simply amazing. In all the years I've owned it, I think I have actually only used the owl twice. But all the other components - every few days!

Itty Bitty Banners brings the message "from our home to yours" atop Vellum Paper softly embossed with snowflakes.

Christmas in Gold

Okay, stampers, here we go..... a post chock full of pictures for you to celebrate the Festival of Trees in gold. I promised it in this post here and I'm delivering!

Festival of Trees comes with five wonderfully designed trees along with embellishments and sayings. It's quite enough to keep you stamping and creating through the entire season. Tags, bags, cards and home decor - but for today how about a Santa's bag full of little love notes all done up in Brushed Gold and Very Vanilla!

All the cards I created in this post used Very Vanilla and Brushed Gold cardstock for a very elegant look. This one uses the embellishment stamp as snow falling for a frosty holiday card.

Embossed in gold standing next to a tree that I punched from the 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch. Punch the circle first and then use your tree punch to  create graduated layers. How fun!

Embossed with White Embossing Powder, again on Brushed Gold cardstock, with a simple star.
I used Stampin' Dimensionals exclusively as my adhesive on these great little cards. In my opinion, there is no other foam adhesive out there that can compare with Stampin' Up!'s.
It adds just the right depth to a card and I love it!

Washi tape, hello! What a wonderful way to dress up a tree - all decked out in gold again. Oh, can you imagine a gift pack of these cards? The perfect holiday hostess gift! Keep reading on how to receive your own gift pack of these adorable cards.

Isn't this tree absolutely exquisite? This is definitely a stand-alone. How many ways could you use this stamp? Keep posted for some of my ideas for it. I L.O.V.E. it!

Yep, I pulled out the sewing machine for this one (actually, not true, it's sitting out all the time!) Just a quick back and forth adds some fun to this one. Easy! Try it using gold thread on a Very Vanilla background....

And of course, this set is not complete without using a few Frosted Sequins ..... maybe a little Pearl in the center of each would have been a nice touch. I think I'll add those on for a little touch of elegance.

So.... would you like to receive a little pack of these to enjoy? My hostess gift for each order totaling $50 or more this month is exactly that. Simply place your order online here and I'll pop a sweet little set of four in the mail to you.
Thank you!

Merry Christmas

Have you created with the Holiday Home Bundle yet? It's a photopolymer stamp and Thinlit set that has numerous fun elements to work with. It will keep your mind busy with new ideas for cards, tags, gift packaging ideas and more!

Everything was stamped with Versamark ink and embossed in Gold for an elegant Christmas card.

I think this tree, embossed in gold, could easily stand on it's own. Can't you just see it layered on Very Vanilla and Brushed Gold card stock..... oh, my, I need to run right upstairs and start putting a set of those together - look for it on a post soon!

This card is layered on Very Vanilla cardstock, two layers of Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper and then embossed numerous times with Gold Embossing Powder. Gorgeous Grunge is a go-to stamp for me - it creates the perfect background interest with it's wonderful splotches and lines and then of course a second layer starburst using the Kinda Eclectic stamp set.

Seasonally Scattered

The Seasonally Scattered stamp set is a perfect set to use with heat embossing. This time finished in White Embossing Powder and added to all four sides of a Kraft Box for a beautiful presentation.

For the flower that I popped on top, I began with a doily and then created the blossom from a  Chevron Tag a Bag Gift Bag using the Blossom Punch. I set it on a ruffly doily to add a little feminity and a bit more white to set off the embossing.

Simply layer six blossoms, punch a small hole through the center of all six layers and fasten with a 1/8" Mini Brad. Begin with the top layer and just scrunch it up real good towards the center. Repeat with each layer - it will turn out perfect every time.
I added a triple bow using Metallic Baker's Twine in Gold. That stuff is just beautiful!
Now, what to put in it? How about a set of 3" x 3" Love Notes? I better get to work on that!

And also from the same Seasonally Scattered set - with heat embossing again, only in Gold this time and lightly washed with an Aqua Painter using Pool Party ink. I also added embossing to the card stock by dragging just the edges of it through the Versamark Ink pad then embossing in Gold.
